10 Things To Do When You Are Struggling With Mental Health
I have read some very good articles about morning constitutions that have excellent information. I think these “To do lists before 8 in the morning” are fabulous suggestions and can help many high functioning people to improve even more! After reading some of these great articles, I felt inspired to write a morning constitution for those who are struggling with mental health or lack motivation. One critique I had of these morning routines that the authors wrote about was that the goals seemed to be a bit lofty and not achievable for everyone, especially for someone who is struggling with mental health. The below list of 10 things to do every morning to improve your mental health are ideas that I give my clients and goals I tend to shoot to accomplish. You can build on these and increase your activity, as you feel better!
For the purpose of this article, when you wake up means before lunch. Some people need more time to ease into their day. Be patient with yourself regarding timetables. The below suggestions ideally should be morning rituals but it is okay if you do them at 7:30 or 11:30. For many people it is unrealistic and intimidating to pack their first morning hour with tons of activities. Kudos to you if you do these things at 3 in the afternoon too!
