… and how this trauma is stopping you from moving on!

In many of my previous posts, I have shone a light on the ways in which being with or around a narcissist can distort your self belief, harm your self esteem and create confusion and chaos in your life.

While relationships can be a source of immense joy and fulfillment,in the case of toxic unions they also hold the potential to cause significant emotional pain. When this pain stems from deep-seated manipulation and abuse, particularly in the context of a narcissistic relationship, it can evolve into lasting trauma. This trauma isn’t just a fleeting state; it’s a profound alteration in how individuals perceive themselves and others, potentially derailing their future relationships and overall well-being.

In some cases, victims of narcissists are being diagnosed with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). This is not a joke or exaggeration, they are exhibiting the same level of mental ill-health as someone who has seen war, endured major accidents or injuries or faced life threatening natural disasters.
