Confession time: I have a guilty pleasure that I just can’t get enough of — reality relationship shows like MAFS Australia. It’s like a wild ride of people-watching on steroids, where toxic behaviours and emotional traumas are laid bare for all to see. As a therapist, it’s a dream come true, and I find myself spending hours on the phone with friends and colleagues, dissecting each contestant’s every move and trying to spot the tell-tale signs of narcissism.

But after 13 episodes, I’ve come to a shocking conclusion. Of course, this is my personal observation, but I’m ready to make my final diagnosis. So buckle up and get ready to find out what I’ve uncovered about the inner workings of these relationships.
